Un nuovo box David Bowie è pronto ad arrivare in tutti i negozi di dischi e digital store. Il nuovo cofanetto che conterrà cinque dischi è intitolato “Conversation Piece“ ripercorrerà i primi anni dell’artista, attraverso brani inediti, sessioni radiofoniche e rare registrazioni effettuate in studio.
Il tutto arriverà il prossimo 15 novembre e “Conversation Piece” includerà 12 brani inediti e un nuovo mix dell’album Space Oddity. Puoi anche ascoltare “Conversation Piece (2019 Mix)” qui sotto.
Conversation Piece arriva mentre l’ album Space Oddity e il singolo arrivano al loro 50° anniversario dal loro rilascio. Il produttore e collaboratore Tony Visconti ha curato personalmente il mix del 2019.
Riguardo il missaggio di Space Oddity 2019 Tony Visconti afferma: “è stato così divertente scovare queste gemme di musica e avere più tempo per mixarle una seconda volta, aggiungendo un gioco di chitarra qui, uno squillo di trombone lì, la voce di Marc Bolan in un coro e molti dettagli in generale che ci siamo fatti sfuggire anni fa, quando l’etichetta ci diede al massimo una settimana per mixare quest’album. Nel dettaglio troverete un David Bowie di 22 anni, che presto avrebbe avuto un successo sconvolgente”.
Un libro di 120 pagine con copertina rigida accompagna il cofanetto e contiene memorabilia esclusivo dalla collezione personale del manager precedente di David, Ken Pitt, così come materiale del David Bowie Archive®, che include foto di Ray Stevenson, Vernon Dewhurst, David Bebbington, Ken Pitt, Alec Byrne, Tony Visconti e Jojanneke Claasen.
Le note di copertina sono state scritte dagli esperti Mark Adams, Tris Penna e Kevin Cann insieme a un contributo degli amici di una vita come David George Underwood, Tony Visconti, Vernon Dewhurst, Dana Gillespie and John ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson.
